The 5 female figures who innovated in ballet
From the Court of the Sun King to Today
Ballet is more than 300 years old and women more than in any other art form have been a rudder towards evolution.
With the opening of the first ballet academy in Paris the Opéra de Paris founded by the Sun King himself. Women realised that they could do much more to make ballet more popular, more dynamic and to reach a wider audience.
Alina Quintana who graduated as a dancer from the Cuban Ballet school and today creator of the Classical Dance no Under 40 method will take us on a journey of discovering women heroines, women dancers who from the 14th to the present day have innovated and broken taboos until ballet was today a practice for all those who love it.

How to participate
