HEALTH FOR DANCERS, DANCE FOR HEALTH

Health for dancers, dance for health: a clear and explicit statement of intent, a motto that reflects the whole of the project and its goals. This is IADMS, International Association for Dance Medicine and Science, an international dance research organisation, which includes in its network doctors, practitioners, dancers, educators and researchers committed to a common purpose, that of dedicating their work to improving the health of dancers and improving health through dance by offering and sharing with the whole community, events and a growing number of research and studies.

IADMS offers many opportunities for growth and learning in this area, from live and online webinars to regional and annual conferences, the flagship of IADMS’ research and sharing work.

IADMS will be at DIF, in the persons of its President, Dr. Nancy Kadel (orthopaedic surgeon, specialising in foot and ankle problems and injuries and in the care of dancers and performers) and Dr. Peter Lewton-Brain (head of the health team of the Ballets de MonteCarlo and of the team of the Pole National Superior de Danse Rosella Hightower (PNSDRH) in Cannes/Mougins), who will present and introduce IADMS and the association’s future projects, without forgetting to go into the topics related to the next annual conferences, OHIO 2023, but above all ITALY 2024!
Thanks also to the precious collaboration of the Event&Conference Division of Italian Exhibition Group, the company that operates as Convention Bureau in the Rimini destination and manages the Rimini Palacongressi in partnership with IDA International Dance, IADMS will organise for the first time in Italy, right in Rimini, the 34th annual conference, which will see, as usual, an intense programme of events, meetings and group sessions focused precisely on “HEALTH FOR DANCERS, DANCE FOR HEALTH” .

During the meeting, it will be possible to interact and ask questions in relation to the various topics discussed.
