The location
Unique position of the Fortezza da Basso, makes it a privileged location to welcome visitors from Italy and abroad. This Renaissance masterpiece, built in 1534, is located within a dynamic fair’s district in the heart of Firenze: only 5 minutes walking distance from Santa Maria Novella train station and 1 km from cathedral. Fair can be easily reached with public transport, by bus or with the modern tramway and is only 4 km from the Amerigo Vespucci international airport.
Danzainfiera takes up about 65.000 square meters of the Fortezza da Basso: 14 pavilions equipped to offer a wide and diverse program to all visitors.
Terra Pavilion is the centrepiece of the whole district; various levels and halls with dedicated expo areas for businesses and dance schools compose this main area as well as rooms set up for dance classes, masterclasses and auditions.
Stages and dancefloors for shows, contests, exhibitions, congresses and special events are located all around Terra Pavilion.
