The Fortezza da Basso

This renaissance masterpiece, built in 1534, is located within a dynamic and functional exhibition complex in the heart of Firenze, only 5 minutes on foot from the Santa Maria Novella train station and 1 km from the Duomo. The complex is easily reachable with public transport, by bus or with the modern tram line and is only 4 km from the Amerigo Vespucci international airport.

Pavilions and Exhibition Spaces

Danzainfiera takes up about 65.000 sqm of the Fortezza da Basso, divided in 12 pavilions, structured and set-up to offer a wide and diversified program to its visitors.
The heart of the event is the Spadolini pavilion, on several floors, which hosts the commercial stands and the spaces reserved for schools, companies authorities and associations, but also the classrooms dedicated to masterclasses, auditions and free lessons.
All the other buildings and pavilions of the fair are located around the main pavilion, where 5 stages and dancefloors are located, set up to house shows, contests, exhibitions, congresses and special events.
